GEOGRAPHY & GISGEOLOGY

The Department of Geology and the Department of Geography & GIS collaborate extensively to understand the evolution and nature of rivers and watersheds. Faculty from both departments are members of the Ven Te Chow Hydrosystems Laboratory, including Prof. Jim BestProf. Gary ParkerProf. Murugesu Sivapalan, and Prof. Bruce Rhoads. Additionally, SESE faculty work on understanding how ice and precipitation alter mountain shapes and landscapes. Visit the individual faculty websites to learn more about this important interdisciplinary research.
